Actually quite happy, considering the market. The Flames had 2 major holes to fill. They needed some d-men, with the current core ravaged with injuries. They acquired those.
They needed a solid top 6 forward. There were none really available, and the asking price for midling forwards (ex Pageau) was outrageous. Some teams went a bit all in on those, but I honestly can't see any of those additions being difference makers.
Of course, this is the same fanbase that continually degrades the organization as a failure for making the Hamonic trade. Hamonic wasn't as good as expected, but prior to injuries this year was a solid top-4 contributor for a couple of years. If that's the move you are no okay giving up a 1st for, then you aren't going to be happy with anything that's going down this year.
