This is a 100 percent true and it is true for all the bubble playoff teams. There are teams whose General Managers have ensured that there is so much talent on the teams, that the coaching is so good, that they can still make the playoffs when their best players are not consistently at their best. The Flames are not one of those teams. They do not have more than 4 or 5 good forwards. Their defence is average and their coaching is quite poor.
Much like other teams who may have significant holes like the Flames and are on the bubble, the Flames top players need to play well every single night in order to qualify for the playoffs. If they can do that down the stretch, the Flames will make it.
