Agreed. I'm a little surprised by people saying they are bailing on it this early. It's basically the humor of Veep in space.

They essentially had me at the coffin orbiting the ship. For some reason I still find that so darkly hilarious.

And the scene where Laurie flips out and pops in and out of his accent had strong overtones of Cleese and Fawlty Towers, an all-time favorite.
