I actually think that Neal was worse than a zero for Calgary last year. IIRC, all the metrics pointed to Neal dragging everyone down he played with. Lucic is at least a decent player 5v5, though unproductive until recently.


If Lucic keeps playing the way he is, I think he will experience a bit of a resurgence here, especially in the playoffs. He needs to play angry and aggressive. I thought he was too composed outside out of a few instances for the first half of the season. When players like him are more emotionally engaged in a game, I think they are more productive, so I hope he keeps it up as he could be an important cog to the playoffs sort of in the way that Simon was for the Flames in '04.
