I HATE players - even if they play for the Flames - with a long history of deliberately trying to injure players, or who are overly reactionary/reckless and try to injure players.

This is coming from a guy who thought McSorely's banishment was an overreaction as I didn't think it was in any way deliberate or reactionary in trying to hurt Brashear - and I grew up irrationally hating McSorely.

Kassian doesn't have a place in hockey. All he is going to do is really hurt someone out there. He talks about the code, but when is the last time you see him let-up in a fight that he is winning? When is the last time you see him stop hitting when the guy is down, never mind catching a guy that has fallen? We all have just seen Lucic play a really physical set of games, including a few fights, and he was nowhere close to crossing any lines or making anyone point at his actions and say that the NHL absolutely has to get fighting out of the game. That's 'the code' to me.

Kassian spouts off about this code, and he proceeds to horsecollar a smaller and defenceless player, delivering heavy blows to the back of the head when the player is on the ice and defenceless, and he is proclaimed as some type of hero, and Tkachuk still had to 'answer the bell'? Blew my mind. Take a look at a montage of Kassian's hits - so many are blindside, directly to the head, and even some having him leave his feet before contact is made. So damn dangerous...

Now he tries to kick someone with his skate...

I applaud the NHL when players who go around living outside the 'code' are no longer part of the NHL - including former Flames like Marchment (it was a disgrace that Darryl every brought that SOB onto the team) or even Gauthier (who I really loved at first, until he suddenly decided to target knees a bit too often and rather deliberately). I hated the goons back in the 80's and 90's who would sucker punch (and let's get this straight - a sucker punch is a punch to someone not expecting to get hit at all, sometimes when that opponent isn't even facing the aggressor). I think fighting and the physicality of hockey brings a tonne of emotion into the game, and I don't want to see it go away.

It is players like Kassian that will force the NHL's hand and eliminate fighting rather quickly as you just know he is going to really hurt someone.

I just can't believe those monkeys with twitter and columns (I can't call them sports journalists - they are fricken dumb monkeys up there) call him (and Nurse when he jumped Pollak) as some type of hero.

Kassian is a disgusting excuse for a human being. Off ice 'issues', on ice issues.. he is the type of player that is really a blight on hockey. McGrattan would make sure guys don't get more injured by letting up and even trying to stop guys from smashing their heads into the ice. Kassian doesn't let up at all, even when the refs are grabbing him, and now he is trying to kick opponents?

McSorely got a raw deal. Kassian should get a fair deal. That kind of irresponsible meathead doesn't belong in the game of hockey. Sooner or later, he is really going to hurt someone really bad and in a really disgusting fashion at that.

Banish him, and banish those damn monkeys with typewriters with their trash writing and spins. That's not journalism. That's just a further continual embarrassment to the game.

I bet the NHL gives him 10 games or less... and sooner rather than later the NHL will deeply regret it.
