In isolation, this game was just another of 82. Some nights they have it, some team's just don't match up well for whatever reason.

I think the team has lost a lot of good will this season. They've had SO MANY no shows, against garbage teams, right when they need it (ie. in order to take 1st in the division, etc).

If this was last year, I think most fans would just move on "meh, bad game, looked flat to start, made some mental blunders, on to the next one..". It seems, at least for me, we are just waiting for this group to be able to 'figure it out' and somehow become last year's team again. A few games go by, and we all feel like we might getting to that point (like this past week) and then we see another game that seems too often to be this year's team identity (perimeter/one-and-done offence, piss poor team defence).

Are fans overly dramatic after a few good/bad games, absolutely. However, I do believe it stems from an underlying frustration with the current core of the team, and the question mark if they are what flames fans of the last 30 years fear most - mediocre.
