My other concern would be availability. I find that places that take your money up front and promise you something in the future tend not to have availability when you want to use it.

I am not calculating whether it's a great deal or not. I'm not guessing whether the airline will go under, the schedule fits someone else's schedule, and/or the number of people that have passes that would be allowed on the flights. All I'm saying is if you really want to know what fees and taxes are for a route, it's a pretty simple task to accomplish.
