That's an interesting point that Hugh who was the infected Drone or patient zero is now working with the Romulans, he'd probably have a record of the virus in his Borg parts.

Hugh wasn’t infected though. Picard eventually decided against infecting Hugh. His hive broke down because of his new sense of individuality.
