I do understand the need for the split in the defensive pairings. It's like each pairing, aside from Gio/Ras most of the time- is like a see-saw. Instead of flowing nicely with their strengths together, one player has to account for the other's weakness. It's maddening that the Flames can't have pairing based on strengths instead of based on who has to babysit the weaker player. Maybe that's a bit harsh, but it's hard to watch.
