Not sure I get this. I was only able to watch the highlights these last 3 games, and last night's 2nd period... But it seemed like Talbot lost us the game vs STL based on the goals he gave up and the general consensus in the PGT. Then Rittich won in Edmonton the following night on a strong game overall, minus the tying goal.
After those 2 games and a couple days off against the same opponent, I don't think it would have made sense to start Talbot. Of course Rittich did have a bad game and should have been pulled ASAP, but starting Talbot doesn't seem like the obvious choice to me at all.
