The latter of those are unpredictable, and unknowable. The plain fact that Rittich is warmed up is the only advantage that can be reasonably measured. It wasn't an "unbelievably dumb" comment to make in the slightest.
Debate Rittich's performance however you want, although I don't think he's been the problem at all. I would have considered a time out after the first 2, but given his performance on Wednesday I DEFINITELY wouldn't have pulled him.
