It's a matter of what you think of Gio. There are a lot of people who feel that because it happens so frequently that it is premeditated by him.
I flip-flop on this because sometimes, like that Koivu one, it sure feels like he knows exactly what he is doing.

Kneeing and elbowing have never been seen as in the same light. Even now, knowing what we know about concussions I think a guy who hangs his knee on purpose all the time would be seen as absolute scum vs a guy who led with his elbows.
