I guess it's hard to point what exactly made it so great. Skyrims biggest strength was how it drew you into the game and made you care about your character, the world and the decisions you made. No other game has made me feel like a was entering another world where something crazy and unexpected could happen at any time, and I don't expect another game ever will.
