I like the comment about drinking, there is a pretty strong correlation between the amount i drink and my weight in a given week.

On the Keto side. My intuition is that it sounds like a more expensive gimik. If you have the discipline to follow that diet;

1) Eat a little bit less food (weigh you food, use smaller plates, order the kids meal...)
2) Avoid foods without any protein or fiber (pop & candy)
3) Eat allot more vegetables. (while still eating less overall)

You'll get 100% of the benefits, without a restrictive diet that has you second guessing what you can / cannot eat, which will eventually trend towards high cost, repetitive meal plans. Repetitive diets will typically lead towards cheating on your diet or having minor health problems like specific vitamin deficiencies.
