I took this to mean that Toronto may be open to trading a Kapanen and perhaps another decent asset for say a d-man with some real term left, or one that is still on his ELC.
A Kapanen for Hamonic trade, for example, makes Toronto better as a team this year, but likely does nothing for next year.
