So do you remove Ward from the spot which is pretty harsh for him and might shake up a locker room that has played quite well under him.
Or do you go out and get a guy that has a better, and proven pedigree as a top NHL coach.
Personally I think I would do it for Gallant as I think that's the better long term decision but get that it's maybe not that simple based on how the team has played. Initially I wanted them to do it for Laviolette but my stance there has softened too since I think he's more of a shelf life coach.

They've made their bed with Ward.
Peters was on the hotseat before the racism and assault allegations came out and Treliving was standing by his man.
If he didn't have another coach proactively in his pocket at that time I think it's all but certain the flames will stick with ward until the season is over.
