It’s likely no one ever told Xi “no” until he entered global politics. He genuinely believes he simply needs to desire something in order for it to be so, and he has no ability to conceive of what to do when this doesn’t work.
The decision by the CCP to allow this aristocrat to change the constitution to keep power was idiotic.
