Actually, the governing body of the highest level of the game deemed the hits legal and acceptable, and deemed the response by Kassian as unacceptable. If all these "highest level of the game" ex players are so disturbed by the hits they should be pointing their fingers at the game itself and the rules within the game.

We are basically hearing for the first time ever that you can't hit below the goal line or any number of other made up narratives. The fact is he didn't leave his feet, lead in with an elbow, come in late, or anything else that has always been deemed unacceptable.

The fact that the majority of media coverage towards the incident has been illogical doesn't make it correct.
