It's The Last of Us, close the thread, any other selection is wrong.
I'm serious. There have been some great games this decade, but they're all just more video games, even if they're incredibly entertaining and well made and in some way outstanding or innovative. TLOU is the only game so far that has elevated the medium into a storytelling vehicle that can rival other similar visual art forms. The game is about the characters in the game, and uses the medium to bring you closer to those characters. Until someone else makes a video game that's actually character driven, there's no competition and differing opinions are as objectively wrong as arguing that, say, Age of Ultron is a better movie than The Godfather.
