Patrick Maroon scored the only goal of the game in the 2nd period as Tampa won 1-0 in reg time. Vasilevskiy with the 23 save SHUTOUT. Both teams were perfect on the PK. The Bolts are now 19-0-4 when leading after 2 periods.

Neiderreiter scored 5 minutes into the game and that was basically it for scoring until a very late empty net goal by Carolina, 2-0 win over the Kings. Reimer was terrific in net making 41 saves for the SHUTOUT. The Hurricanes turned back time as they wore the Hartford Whalers uniforms.

The Blues keep on cruising as they defeated the Rangers 5-2 and are in a 3 way tie for 1st overall. There were 5 different goal scorers for the Blues.

The Bruins-Islanders was a good one with both goalies playing well. Beregeron scored the GWG on the PP in OT, Boston won 3-2.
