He has looked like a player that just doesn't want to touch the puck. In the defensive zone, I rarely see him engaging in the boards. Some of it is being the 'centre' and covering the slot as would be his responsibility. The rest just seems to be watching what happens rather being a catalyst of creating opportunities, defensive or otherwise. Especially when you have other guys like Lindholm and Ryan who are smaller but still end up causing turnovers and breaking up plays, you end up wondering what Jankowski hopes to achieve when he does get to be put on the ice beyond 'not screwing up'.
