I don't get the love for one player. I would love for him to match what he did last year or better, but he clearly has made 5 steps back in every part of his game. It's like he really doesn't care to play right now.
Jankowski is butter soft, the only two players who have less hits are Gaudreau and Ryan (one less). Jankowski has 11 hits to his name. He is 6'4 and his size should be one of his advantages.
Mangiapane has 46 at 5'10, Dube has 26 and is 5'11.

Jankowski has 1 point in 37 games (Rinne has triple the points), and literally dead 2nd last in the NHL for point per games played (a defenceman).
He has a 46.6 FO percentage.
He has 20 (!) shots on goal for the year. Alan Quine is the closest other player to him at 12 and he played 9 games.
These type of stats shouldn't even be possible for a regular NHLer, especially one playing over 10 min a game average. There are 20 goalies with the same amount of points or more than Jankowski and they save pucks.
So he can kill penalties? He's good in putting his long reach to have a stick in the passing zone. That makes him an NHLer?
The guy is atrocious right now and a negative on the team. He needs to go back to the AHL to regain his confidence if anything, but the total lack of effort is what really annoys me; players can contribute in other ways if struggling and he is not. He is not an NHL player this year and he needs to be demoted.
