Zuccarello is Norwegian but played in the SEL, so I imagine his Swedish isn’t too bad. Knowing the Swedes (as I do...) I would not expect Andersson to understand Norwegian at all on the other hand.... but you never know.

Despite their shared roots, the Scandinavian languages are not as mutually intelligible as you might think. I’m a native Icelandic speaker but I basically don’t understand Norwegian, Swedish or Danish at all (even though my dad is half Swedish and I’ve heard that language a lot). I can almost sort of understand Faroese... but not THAT well. Like maybe enough to get directions to the local fishmonger or whatever but not to carry on a real conversation.

But “BOOM” means the same thing in all of those languages. Though in Icelandic we spell it “BÚM”....
Swedish, danish and Norwegian are pretty much different accents of the same language (I am Swedish, part danish). Icelandic sticks out, same language group but very different (more like the old, old Norse languages). Finnish, completely different language family and is related to Hungarian for example.

Point is, Andersson and Zuch would understand each other easily.
