If true, Iran screwed up, obviously, but this also doesn't happen if Trump doesn't order the assassination of Solemani and provoke the retaliation (or charade of retaliation), which is getting a lot of criticism as well. Enter Canada, with so many citizens killed and no consular relationship with Iran since 2012, and a major ally that shares at least a part of the blame.

And you can't help feel for the Ukranians as well, in the aftermath of the Malaysian Airlines incident happening on their soil under similar circumstances, now one of their domestic aircraft meets a similar fate over Iran.

I hope this turns into Canada and Iran talking again and maybe reopening the embassy.
