Have everyone believe that Ben had fallen and rose as Kylo Ren and everyone including Luke believing that Luke had killed him. Now you have a great reason for Luke in self banishment on the Island wanting to let the Jedi die and Leia and Han not really wanting to talk to him. Then at the end of the movie you can reveal Kylo Ren as one of the movers and shakers behind the First Order. Then you can introduce Snoke in the second movie still kill Luke off and have the confrontation of Rey against Ben and Snoke in the third with the question of redemption for Ren, and do something different and not have Ren as redeemable.
While I've spent allot of time berating your use fan fiction to critique these movies. I quite like this.

One other thought I had that could tie the stories together a little bit better is you could retconn episode one and have Palpantine pulling the strings behind the immaculate conception somehow. I'm allot more comfortable with the idea of rewriting those movies in fan fiction.

Its the one missing piece in pulling the 3 trilogies together as the story of Palpantine destroying himself (even as he never really rose above the level of secondary character in any movie, other than maybe RotJ).

Palpantine > Tyranus > Sifodyas > Clone Army
Palpantine > Trade federation > Droid Army
Palpantine > Empire > Death Star
Palpantine > Snoke > First Order > Ren
Palpantine > palpantine jr. > Rey

Palpantine > Anikin > Darth Vader > Luke > Leia
