GM Beerfund Continues to Shop all Players Despite Victory
The Montreal Canadiens participated in their second consecutive shut out game. This time they were on the winning side. Yesterday the Canadiens outshot the Flames 33 to 12, but lost 0-1. Today the Canadiens continued to pepper the opposition with shots (32), but this time 2 got past the Bruin's netminder for a 2-0 victory.
Marty Brodeur continued to show that he is the force that carries the Habs. When he's good the Habs win, when he's not, they lose. GM Beerfund, usually known for the late night/early morning parties following a victory, was notably somber. (note: somber - definately not sober). When questioned, he would only respond, "this team is supposed to win, Marty is supposed to shut out the other team, we're in 20th spot, one game over .500 and out of a playoff spot. I just can't party. Drink? sure, just no parties."
Rumour have it that GM Beerfund is shopping some of the higher priced talent, in hopes of finding the right chemistry.
