Yeah, I really got myself into a situation by not doing enough winter maintenance. Part of my issue, since my crash last spring most of my rides have been the last 3 km into work. So I've been bringing the bike on the back of the car the first 25km, and riding in from there. Well all of that road splash onto my bike did some damage, and found out when I went to grease it up over the break. The bike is at MEC right now, and they are quoting almost $300 to get it back into shape. It's only a $600 bike, but what can I do?
Going forward, the bike will be inside the car- and they have also showed me the right way to clean and grease everything.
