Don’t watch a lot of college football, but doesn’t there seems to be an excessive number of staff on the sidelines? Compared to NFL games.

Added to the fact that there’s a crew of guys on each team either holding up what look like big barriers after each play, on which I can only imagine it’s to prevent signal stealing from behind or above? Seems excessive, and over dramatic, and paranoid, especially here in bowl games where teams don’t play each other year over year anyway. It also looks comical with all the theatrics.

In Michigan game those guys were out in the field preventing the sky cam from looking at the huddle on a time out. Again, excessive, and overly paranoid if it is to prevent sign stealing, as it doesn’t seem to be a big deal in the NFL where stakes are just as big if not bigger.
