Take the officials to task all you want, but don't do it publically. That stuff should be kept between the league and the club.
He won't be receiving any favors from the stripes for a long while Im guessing.

I have to disagree here actually. The NHL has coddled the refs too much, and it's given the impression that errors from the refs aren't faced with displicine, or publicly admit an error was made.
The NHL acts like it's refs are perfect, and never make bad calls (or non calls) that can alter the game. It's built up a lot of resentment for the officials in the fans eyes since there's never any acknowledgement of a screw up.
The only recent act of this that I can recall is the Sharks/Knights Game 7 this past playoffs, where a major penalty was called for something that arguably wasn't even a penalty at all, and the Sharks in the final minutes were able to pull off a several goal comeback, and then ultimately win the game and the series. That was a mistake the NHL couldn't hide from, and changed the rules where major penalties have to be reviewed before enforcing them.
I would like it if the players, coaches, and even GM's were more vocal about terrible calls or mistakes made from the refs in public, so then the refs and the league itself could be held more accountable. It leaves a very sour taste in your mouth when a mistake from the refs in a crucial moment results in your team losing the game as a result, and there's no acknowledgment of it.
