I finished the year with 7,606 kms, beating my goal of 6,000 kms and last year's total of 5,273 kms. I only had 704 kms in the first four months combined, but I finally got into it in May. The furthest I cycled in one month was July, when I cycled 1,295 kms. My total elevation climbed for the year was 73,814 metres, with my biggest month being 12,105 metres climbed in September, with only 879 kms ridden.

My two most memorable rides were both in Costa Rica. One was a group ride of 10 of us, including a two time Panama national champion and a world class triathlete, covering 145 kms and 2,946 metres of ascent. Four days later four of us cycled up Volcano Irazu, going from 1,428 metres above sea level to 3,238 metres above sea level in 33 kms.

I joined a race team and was a part of several team wins in crits and road races. My best individual crit finish was a fourth place at UBC after solo bridging to the lead group with 3 laps to go. I won the 50 km Valley fondo road race by over 3:00 minutes. I qualified for the UCI GranFondo World Championships being held in September 2020.

My goals for this year are to ride at least 10,000 kms, be part of a breakaway that stays away in a crit or road race, and to win a crit race.
