If they are really pressing for the defensive support thing on the Monahan line they should perhaps see if the following would work considering he and Johnny have show chemistry in the past:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Ryan
Bennett-Backlund-Frolik
Lucic-Rieder-Rinaldo
I get that Lucic is better with a RH center but we have bigger problems than worrying about Lucic’s ideal pivot.
