I got my Cape Breton Eagles jersey crested "Fleury 29" while obviously Marc-Andre Fleury no longer plays on the team, I like to think of it as a tie to one of the greats to go through our organization, my favourite player to play on the team, and I do think there's something cool about having a former player on your jersey.

If he was traded probably less so, however once they retire (or in the case of junior, become senior) it's neat to have the old player's name crested.
