I agree that there probably is, but I think you have to ask WHY is there fatigue?

Because I would say there's very little fatigue in Marvel. There's maybe a bit who are just done with superhero movies in general, but otherwise they were able to do WAY more Marvel movies and they were successful with almost all of them.

My theory is the writing.

Star Wars fans are tired of being milked for their loyalty and being rewarded with thrown together stuff that's really well produced but is poorly written.

Marvel movies are much better from a writing point of view.. it seems they do a bunch of stuff, go fetch this, go stop this, but the characters are the core and everything always comes back to the characters (or when they don't it stands out). So people keep coming back.

That Half in the Bag review I think says it well.. so much wasted potential with Episode 7-9.. great actors, great characters, great chemistry, and most of it is wasted.

And I guess people are done with that.
