Any time you trade a meaningful draft pick you will be better in the short term. But IMO it’s a perfectly reasonable position to conclude the organization is better off having kept its 1st rounder than with Zucker on the team and that you’re betting off keeping your powder dry in search of a bigger deal. Or you know, develop your own difference makers.
