While the reality is that the last 14 games really haven't even been that good (9-3-2 with very poor metrics), you're also pulling out a sample that pretty much any team can use over the course of an 82 game season.
Edmonton started 8-2-1.
San Jose won 11 of 13.
Anaheim started 6-2-0.
Chicago had a 5-0-1 stretch.
Buffalo started 8-1-1.
The Rangers had a 5-1-1 stretch.
These are all teams who had great stretches before their terrible 5v5 metrics caught up to them.
Yet we're supposed to give the Flames a free pass and expect this winning despite very poor 5v5 play to continue?
