Ok, generalizing.
The Flames have been tied or leading in the third a lot this year, and again,under Ward,look ok while in the third. Possibly too comfortable though. They don't have that urgency of putting in the extra effort to take the game over, certainly if they got the 3-2 lead like they did tonight. Last year's team would've gotten a 4th and won 5-2 with an EN.
Outside of the Lucic shift and goal of Kylington,Flames had zero positivity in the third, and zero control. You didn't see they under Peters last year, they finished gsmes they were right or in the balance. And to be honest, Price should have had Kylingtons shot.
Toss in a Rittich who still gets flustered (reply saw him yelling at the bench after the tying goal) and then his lack of common sense in OT, and it's now likely a strategy. A whiff on the OT winner.
