I don't know if it was widely known, or I've done a good job of avoiding anything about this movie, but Lando showing up was a pretty nice surprise.

The tie in to watching Yoda's force healing made that scene a lot more believable and authentic.

Han's scene was good too, and unexpected. Kilo Ren's redemption and kiss and all that was a little hard to buy into.

Rey's story and back story worked for me. She wins for least cringy Star Wars protagonist as well.

I think it would. They could have shown all the force-sensitive Skywalkers together. Would have brought all three trilogies together.

I’m also okay with Rey’s backstory. I’m glad she wasn’t a clone.

I can see the pacing issues. It really felt like they tried to fix a lot of what TLJ did wrong (saying Holdo’s hyperspace maneuver was 1 in a million, Luke admitting he was wrong, etc). I wish JJ had done the entire trilogy.
