Honest question. How well does it generally scale? An increase in ice time potentially can result in an increase in quality of competition. (More ice time is allocated to better lines, and they receive more attention from the opposition)

Absolutely ... it's not a straight line
But then either is points per game when players play a different average of minutes per game.
I think in this case it works though. His production is off this year for sure, but it hasn't flat lined and he's getting way fiercer quality of opposition.
