Yeah being active and working out is a natural treatment for depression as it releases endorphins that help regulate your mood. It's one of the reasons I have worked out steady for 20 years. Recently I had a stretch of work and personal stuff where I was so busy I couldn't get to the gym for a few weeks and started feeling down in the dumps which went away as soon as I got back to my regular routine.
