Baertschi at $3.3 million and having no cap space makes this impossible but it would be sweet if it worked out.
I could see Sven succeeding in places like Pittsburgh or Colorado but the cap hit will make it difficult for any teams to really be interested unless salary was going back the other way.

Not crazy, but I definitely think you are wrong. Baertschi is already 27-years-old, and has only once ever scored more than 30-points in a NHL season. He has never played 70-games in a season, and has not played more than 55 in three years. He has struggled to hold onto a NHL roster spot with two organisations now, even when he appears for all intents and purposes to be the team's best option. He has now made overtures to force the hand of both NHL teams for which he has played.
I really think Baertschi's NHL career is essentially done.
