My one issue with keeping Brodie is obviously the plethora of LHS dmen we have. Even though he does play his offside you can't deny the importance of having enough of each handedness in the lineup.
We lack RHS both upfront and on the backend so its tough to pick Brodie over Hamonic, for me anyways. Especially when you consider how Hanifin, Kylington and even Valimaki have similar skating ability to Brodie.

With Hamonic it's going to come down to money and it sounds like he wants to test free agency and I would want no part of paying him $5 million a season even on short term because IMO he's a 4th defenseman that has been living off the reputation built in one good season in Long Island. Let some other team overpay him like the Canucks are probably already regretting overpaying Myers.
