Nope. Not splitting hairs defining an acceptable distance or time for the play
Put a very short time limit on the refs to review. Maybe even in real time, not slo-mo.
It comes back to intent. The intent of the offside is to make sure a team doesn’t cheat positionally to get a material advantage. Not to break out a magnifying glass to see if a team trying to obey the rule was oh so close but just barely unsuccessful, by an infinitesimal margin, detectable only in super slo mo after 5 minutes of repeat viewings. (and gaining no material positional advantage once all of the hairs have been split)
If it’s not immediately obvious enough to overturn quickly, the call on the ice stands
Correct egregious errors, accept up front that human observers have limits, but still are responsible for the call.
