While I agree with you for the most part, I wouldn’t call Lindholm a second line player.
It’s an elite Norris contending D and third round pick, and a season of Ferland for a 1 RW who maybe can play center and a sub par 4 D man who still has potential but also looks like it may be tapped out, despite what most here say. It’s definitely not a fleecing on our part, it probably isn’t even a win. The Lindholm contract is the only thing that keeps it from being a loss imo. The Hanifin contract, despite what is said, is at best fair value.
