The positives of this scenario is that hopefully players and people in and around the league will feel empowered to speak up if racial abuse and slurs occur; that going forward, there is zero tolerance for this extremely important issues. If it takes Bill Peters and Babcock and however many more abusive coaches losing their jobs, so this culture shift in the game can take place, then I say bring it on.
Physicality and being physical as a grown man in a position of trust towards young teenagers and men is also a technique that creates conformity based on the principles of power being exacted on anyone who speaks out, fear of repercussions and career's being deep sixed. I think we will see this start to change dramatically as a result of these incidents.
