I am curious what will happen if and when a former or current player comes out and says other players or hockey executives have said something racist.
We are running on the assumption that Peter's will be fired, most likely paid and will find it very very hard to to work in NHL hockey again. I don't think too many people are really arguing against that to be honest.
So what will happen when this comes out again in the future on the player side? I just don't think a handful of games of suspension will be enough. If people are really serious about getting rid of racism, homophobia and other injustices in sport, than you got to go full throttle. I am talking about getting SERIOUS about these things.
I don't think too many people should really object to a superstar player being banished for the rest of their career. I mean I get that a lot of people are really worked up about this incident and it's not a good situation but if this conversation is really about moving forward, than people got to be honest about what needs to happen. I don't want to hear the BS excuse that people in positions of power should be held to additional account. Racist comments are racists comments and low level losers in any organization don't get the mulligan and the top dogs get the freight train running them over.
I just don't know how many people really want to go down that route though, that's the irony.
I've had enough conversations with enough people I know and all of them are craving the blood for Peter's and are up in arm's over this. Outraged! What they fail to understand is that I got have enough memories, photos, videos and other "evidence" of their prior Wigger careers, dressing up like Thugs, Trudeau style costume's and making fun of the gay community and all that jazz.
If I ever got around to it, I got enough material on a couple of political players, Court of Queen's bench judge, prominent Calgary philanthropist and a couple of high ranking executives. People like to get all high and mighty about other people but when it's them that's under the gun, a few people I know might quit chirping their mouths and might take the easy way out and beg for the gun shot to the head.
