Remember the vast majority of people out there don’t have employment contracts like Peters. This is a question of telling him to stay home and continuing to honor the contract vs. terminating his contract for a breach on his part.
Can you fire Sally or Joe for something they did 10 years ago while not in your employ without exposing yourself to a claim for wrongful termination? I think that’s a different question.
