Does that mean I can go up to a random woman I don’t know and call her that?
Does it mean I can then turn around and tell her “well if you don’t like it you probably shouldn’t use it with eachother”
Pretty shocking that something like this happens to a young man and we have people pointing the finger at Aliu and his choice of music. Serves you right for listening to that music where they use that word. “If it’s offensive, stop listening to it.”
No doubt the same people who came out in support of cherrys words, when cherry himself admitted to regretting the use of the term “you people”.
There are also some pretty vile things said in movies that some people don’t want to hear. That doesn’t mean you can walk up to a Tarantino fan and swear at them and turn around and tell them if they don’t like it they shouldn’t be watching pulp fiction.
Either way it’s not really the place of some conservative white male to decide what other cultures and other people say to eachother especially in their own art forms and avenues of expression. It’s not like these people have Tourette’s syndrome and they are randomly blurting out this word. It comes from somewhere and they use it for a reason.
Classic white mans burden to civilize and teach all of these inferior feeble minded people. Because there’s nothing in our culture that could possibly be repulsive and jarring to others!

I think at this point everyone just needs to take a nice long break from this thread...
