just stop. you're wrong on so many levels. there will not be a mass exodus from calgary if the flames leave. you are severely overestimating their popularity AND importance to the average calgarian. do you seriously think a significant number of people who own houses, have families, have jobs and lives in calgary are going to move to EDMONTON, of all places, simply because they have an NHL team?
calgary having the flames is icing on an already delicious cake. will it suck if they are forced to leave? yep. are they going to be taking a large number of the 1.3M people who live here with them when they go? absolutely not. just stop.
