I’m glad there is something coming tomorrow, as this apology leads me to believe there might be another chapter in this story
Here’s a few things that I’m left thinking about tonight
1. This was a letter to Brad and the Calgary Flames, so are there other letters?
2. This, in as much as the lawyers wanted out, does call to question some of Akim’s allegation
3. The Flames have not fired or suspended Bill while investigating
As it stands rn everything seems like a horrible move from the PR side, but as the story develops I wonder if some of these odd events will make more sense. As it stands, it’s a few Tweets vs a lawyers apology - and it would be big trouble if Peters’ apology was in any way inaccurate. But the characterization and the follow-up are at odds with each other and I think that’s worth noting
Now, whether any of that matters and how we evaluate the 11 years since will be another question in his employment. But, it’s worth asking if anyone can be allowed a second chance... is this one of those moments?

As for point #3, Peters has not been running practice nor did he coach the team tonight. He may not be officially suspended, but for all intents and purposes he is.
