One thing that i recall on a day like today is the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and how the game united fans from coast to coast. Unlike 2010, this is a dark dark day for the sport. Very sad.
I feel situations that involve any combination of money, power imbalance, authority, sex etc. will result in people abusing their power in some fashion. Whether it's politics, Hollywood, Epstein, NFL, or now NHL, it has probably always been there to some degree, and probably always will.
